SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Abel Design Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate will excel in innovative design solutions and be committed to design excellence. The candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.

 

 

Responsibilities:

· Guide team in establishing project concept and aesthetics

· Implement all phases of projects, including client meetings, field verification, drawing production, material and furniture selection, and construction administration

· Coordinate multiple projects concurrently

· Work with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives

· Prepare client and consultant agreements for Principal review and execution

· Manage client expectations regarding scope, budget, and schedule

· Maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships

· Plan, organize, and manage project staffing, fees, and schedule

· Ensure that project documentation and contracts meet standards

· Track and ensure project profitability

· Participate in business development and marketing efforts

· Foster and maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with team members

· Recruit and mentor staff

· Assist in development of fee proposals

 

Qualifications:

· 15+ years of relevant architecture or design experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design

· Must be a Registered Interior Designer or a Registered Architect with current license

· If Registered Architect, NCARB and AIA registration preferred

· Proficiency in Revit required

· Management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills

· Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills

· Proven ability to prioritize, while focusing on multiple projects at the same time

· Advanced knowledge of building materials, construction, and building codes, including ADA

· Implement all phases of projects, including client meetings, field verification, drawing production, material and furniture selection/specification, and construction administration

· Coordinate multiple projects concurrently

· Work with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives

· Manage client expectations regarding scope, budget, and schedule

· Maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships

· Manage project staffing, fees, and schedule

· Track and ensure project profitability

· Support project team with various administrative duties and project correspondence

· Contribute to office initiatives and learning programs

· Participate in business development and marketing efforts

· Recruit and mentor staff

· Report to Senior Project Manager or Associate Principal

 

Qualifications:

· 5-7 years of relevant architecture or interior design experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design

· Must be a Registered Interior Designer or a Registered Architect with current license

· If Registered Architect, NCARB and AIA registration preferred

· Proficiency in Revit required

· Additional software used in the position may include Adobe In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and SketchUp

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills

· Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills

· Flexibility to focus on multiple projects at the same time

· Extensive knowledge of building materials, construction, and building codes, including ADA
