Dynamis Power Solutions

Dynamis Power Solutions challenged the Abel Design Group design team to create a space as cool and innovative as the equipment the company produces - a better, more agile, mobile turbine package for portable power. One of the goals of the design was to highlight the server and IT equipment that runs the mobile power units and two adjacent 24/7 command center offices.

Undulating wood fins in the ceiling radiate like rays of the sun from the circular glass server room at the center of the space. Set in the corner of the building, floor to ceiling glass walls make up the majority of the walls allowing natural light to pour all the way into the space.

In the conference room, a light fixture made from recycled industrial material is suspended over a custom conference table which features steel pipes filled with an assortment of frac sand. Fracking operations being one of the primary users of the Dynamis Power Solutions mobile unit.

One element of the space, a long narrow entry corridor, usually would be a negative, but rather is attractively turned into a positive by incorporating benches, a small coffee bar and a bit of storage and clad in beautiful cool stone and warm wood. Small but tailored the space is efficient, effective and elegant.
