ADG officially opened a second office location in Austin, Texas on October 3, 2016. The office is operating out of the WeWork Congress location while the firm secures long-term lease space in downtown Austin.

“Austin is pretty much on fire, and we have always wanted to be in Austin, but weren’t quite ready to make that jump. We’ve identified a hole in Austin for a high-level of service and design, (and) we would fit very nicely into that hole. We don’t plan on stopping at Austin. Our growth will be based on opportunities for good projects that are successful financially, and from a design aspect, whether it’s architecture or interiors. So, we continue to fortify Houston, but we don’t have any problem with providing our services nationwide and worldwide,” stated managing principal Jeffrey Abel to the Houston Business Journal. ADG announced the opening of the new Austin office to the Houston Business Journal on August 2, 2016.

“Despite the downturn in the Houston economy, we’ve been able to grow,” stated Abel, crediting the leadership team and staff, as well as long-standing industry relationships, and repeat clients that have helped the firm weather the current economic conditions.

Since its founding in 2001 as a corporate interiors firm, ADG has advanced its practice by expanding its capabilities to include both architecture and interior design; diversifying its practice areas to include hotels, restaurants, retail, and education; and adding new design talent. ADG was recently recognized by the AIA with the 2016 Interior Design Award for its design of a Private Family Management Company’s new office. Led by ADG Principal, Simona Furini, the project is the first AIA design win for the team. We are honored to have been recognized by the AIA this year, and to have received such a prestigious design award!” stated Furini. ADG also won the Best Craftsmanship Award in the annual IIDA Product Runway competition, another company first.
