This 3,500 SF home was designed for a successful bachelor in the heart of Southampton, near Rice Village. Despite the modern touches of metal railings, single pitch roofs, and a louvered entry gate, this home fits well into the context of the neighborhood by utilizing traditional materials such as stained wood and limestone.

The pier and beam construction references historical homes in the surrounding areas, in addition to providing a grand approach to the home. West facing glazing is protected by a generous flying roofline and second floor porch. Rot and bug resistant wood is used at all exterior pedestrian surfaces.
